We recently had the chance to spend a night at Blue Mountain, and experience the new Blumination Dream Trail.
The Trail is a one kilometre long trail that loops through the Blue Mountain Village and around Mill Pond, with over one million lights along the way. It consists of 10 different “stations” along the way, from a human sized Lite Brite installation & interactive flower lights to a glowing neon tunnel & a street full of twinkling, twirling stars, all ending in a musical light show in the Main Square.
As soon as I heard about it, I couldn’t wait to go.
Check out the map below to see the different spots to see along the way.
Weekends mean Fireworks, horse & wagon rides and visits with Santa, but the trail is open all week, and is FREE to the public. The Traill runs from December 1st, 2018 until January 6, 2019.
Wade, Lumi & I were all planning the trip, and decided to bring my friend Carrie along to celebrate her 30th birthday. We ate at Camino Taco and Firehall Pizza, explored the Village, walked the Trail, hung out in our Suite at the Westin–Wade, Lumi & I shared our bedroom, and Carrie got her very own pullout couch out in the living room, and the Suite also had a kitchen and dining area! It was Lumi’s very first time staying at a hotel, and he absolutely loved it (and was such a good boy). The Westin has separate designated doggy doors, in case any puppers are feeling nervous, with water dishes available for a sip after a walk.
