If you’re looking for high end accommodation, delicious food, comfortable lounging, nighttime entertainment, quiet relaxation, and Island paradise, then The District Boracay is the place for you, as the best beachfront Resort in Boracay.
From the moment we arrived and sipped on our refreshing welcome drinks, I never wanted to leave the District Boracay. I could have spent a month in that bed, and loved sitting on the roof deck, simply people watching from above as the sun set behind the palm trees.
Here are a few more reasons to love The District Boracay..
The Room
We were lucky enough to stay in the ultra modern and comfortable Deluxe Room, which was situated on the north side, with a balcony overlooking the pool area.
The room had two queen beds, writing desk, air conditioning, LED flat screen TV, mini-bar, safe, coffee & tea, separate toilet and shower, hair dryer, and complimentary wifi.
And, those beds? Ahh, so comfy.
The Hotel
The Hotel itself definitely oozes an upscale boutique vibe, with a hint of beach luxury mixed with casual fun. I felt like I needed to be a bit more dressed up for dinner, but like I could relax and unwind out on the beach.
Between the way the staff treat you, and how the entire atmosphere of the District makes you feels, you’ll never want to leave.
The Restaurant
The Star Lounge is one of the main attractions of the District Boracay, especially the panoramic roof deck.
Breakfast is served from 6:30 am to 10:30 am and the Best Brunch Buffet in the island from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Both feature a delectable spread of International and Filipino breakfast favourites with hot and cold selections and various live action stations. A la carte dishes for lunch as well as grilled-to-order dinner are also available at the Star Lounge.
On the third floor is a bar and events roof deck, which offers a selection of special cocktails, local beers, gourmet appetizers and the perfect ambiance for a chill-out night in the island. We definitely enjoyed a cocktail or two while people watching from above White Beach’s boardwalk.
We enjoyed a sit down dinner on the roof deck, of BBQ, salad, and soups. And, to be honest.. I’d probably go there just for dinner!
The Beach
The main reason that people come to Boracay is White Beach, and The District is smack dab in the middle of it. On Station 2, the Resort is surrounded by restaurants, D’Mall, shops, and and endless list of beach activities.
District not only has a private lounge area beneath palms and umbrellas, but also an on site security guard to make sure that your belongings are safe if you feel like going out for a dip.
The beach was one of my favourite parts about the District, and I could hardly bring myself to leave that cozy lay-back beach chair.
The Pool
At five feet deep and fifteen metres long, the sparkling lap pool is the first thing you will see as you enter past the front desk. It welcomes sun loungers to the chairs behind it, or those that simply want to grab a cold drink from the nearby bar and dip their toes in from the side.
I somehow never had the chance to dive in, but every time I see a photo of it pop up now, I strongly regret not going for a swim.
The Spa
Upon walking into the spa, the stress of travel and life immediately melts away. The warm air, trickling sounds and soothing scents of essential oils will clear your mind and set you up for an afternoon of pampering.
I’ve had a lot of massages around the world, and I’ve never seen such a brilliantly laid out setup, with the washroom/changing area at the front, with a private hallway leading into the massage room. Generally spas are long hallways with separate rooms, but at the District it is you have an exclusive area all to yourself.
Wade and I enjoyed an hour long Upperhouse massage, with wave-like strokes for that total beach feel experience–patterned from the Hawaiian Lomilomis and infused with traditional Thai stretching, and left feeling absolutely refreshed.
The Location
You can’t stay at The District without taking advantage of the location and exploring all that White Beach has to offer. The Hotel is right in the middle of all the action, and whether you turn right or left, you are immediately swallowed up in the action.
District is in Station 2, which features some other smaller boutique hotels, D’Mall, lots of different types of restaurants, shops, souvenir stalls, and of course a never-ending line of beach bars and massage stalls. Station 1 is a little more high end, with luxury resorts and shopping for those with a larger budget. Station 3 has more of a hippy vibe, with reggae beach bars, hookah lounges, and more outdoor markets.
We spent endless hours simply walking up and down the boardwalk, taking it all in, and enjoying a drink or two along the way–all with easy access back to our hotel.
The Journey
One of the great things about District, is that they arrange transportation for you from the airport. Our arrival was made completely at ease as we were greeted right at the airport, driven to a boat, made our way to the Island, picked up at the Port, and then driven to the hotel. The same goes for getting back to the airport on departure.
Not only do they arrange all of this for you, but they were nice enough to help us get to and from the other hotels we visited in Boracay (I wish we could have stayed at District the whole time, but they were booked up!), in the same way. The shuttles were clean and comfortable, and the boat was fast and safe.
Overall, the fact that they take care of everything just makes the trip that much easier, and will let you keep that relaxed feeling, even as you’re going home.

Scenes from The District include lounging on White Beach in Boracay and views from the rooftop restaurant, clinking cocktails, watching the sunset through the palm trees. I only wish I could have included our amazing massages at the spa in this video!

Great pictures, in particular love that sunset shot you took from within the paraw boat. Makes me want to run over to White Beach and jump in right now 🙂
I like the District’s location and rooftop area. Never stayed there though, maybe I should.
Cheers, Paul
