While Dog Sledding with Snow Forest Adventures in Algonquin Park last weekend, I just could’t get enough of the dogs. They were smart, friendly and beautiful to top it off.
Each time that I got to interact with the dogs (aside from when they were pulling the sled) I couldn’t help but smile and kneel down to scratch their ears.
Every single dog is unique and different than the last. They all have their own personalities and traits, which you learn throughout your dog sledding experience. Here is a photo essay of our dog sled teams.
The photo above is Jobe, my favourite pup. He was shy and sweet and seemed much more timid than the other dogs. However, once we got out on the trails, his personality changed completely. He frolicked and danced his way along in a running trot and absolutely loved life. Jobe was a cutie :]

Oh I love them! I think I would have not got any sledding done and just laid in the snow hugging them all haha.
Looks like a marvellous experience and Jobe is such a cutie! (I do love the one of the dog sticking his head through the hole in the board though haha!)

Haha, I almost didn’t want to go either! And I wanted to take Jobe home!
The one in the hole was inside a truck, they have little kennels for transport there 😀

Really cute and beautiful dogs and loved the way you made friends with them. I think it is easier for these dogs to make new friends since they are always catering to new set of people throughout the year.

Beautiful pictures of handsome dogs. These are really I think strongest of all, since they could pull so much weight for a long distance, so must be blessed with great stamina and power.

Dog sledding sounds like an incredible experience, especially with such intelligent and friendly dogs. It’s amazing how each dog has its own unique personality that shines through, both in interactions and on the trails. Jobe sounds like a delightful pup, full of surprises and joy. It’s heartwarming to see how these dogs enjoy their work and bring so much happiness to those around them.
