I spent this past weekend wandering, eating and photographing my way around Ottawa.
I ate a Beavertail while walking through the Byward Market, strolled down the Rideau Canal at sunset, awed at Parliament from the neighbouring province of Quebec and even bungee jumped at the highest bungee in North America.
Sounds pretty awesome, right?
Good news; you can do it too.

I’m in @ottawatourism this weekend to explore the city. Follow #MyOttawa to see more photos and give me some ideas of what to do. I found this little piece of art right outside my hotel. Off to explore before sunset!

I wandered down the Rideau Canal for about an hour and found this small pedestrian bridge full of love locks #myottawa
I just grabbed a Beavertail at the Byward Market in downtown Ottawa. It is a whole-wheat pastry that is hand-stretched, then float cooked and served with everything from brown sugar to Nutella and bananas. I went with the original recipe and am eating it while wandering around the farmers market #myottawa

Ottawa’s Notre Dame Cathedral through Maman sculpture; a 30ft high steel spider perched outside of the National Gallery of Canada. Maman is an ode to the artist, Louise Bourgeois’ own mother and embodies fertility & motherhood through a sac of marble eggs located in its bronze underbelly #myottawa
Stopped in at the Craft Beer Week Festival for a beer #myottawa
I just bungee jumped 200 feet into a quarry with Great Canadian Bungee, the highest bungee in North America. I didn’t even know something like this existed in Ottawa until I arrived and I’m pretty confident in saying that it was my favourite part of this entire trip www.bungee.ca #myottawa
