I began taking panoramas with different apps as I travelled with my iPhone4. They weren’t the clearest of images, but I thought they were interesting and certainly more unique than an average rectangular photo. It gave a new perspective and allowed me to see way more of what was going on around the original subject.
Enter iPhone 5s and the built-in pano cam. These images were much larger and therefore, super crisp and clear. I became even more obsessed with taking panos in each location that I travelled and have built up quite the little collection.
Here are my pano shots, old and new, from around the world;

Beautiful shots, Seattle. Really like the one from Jaco. I went there a few years ago and loved it.

Thanks! Yeah, Jaco is a pretty cool place, a bit busy in town, but perfect on the outskirts :]

Great shots! It’s one of my new favourite ways of shooting too although I am still using my iPhone 4 but will be upgrading later in the year to a 5 so good to know that the quality is much better. I love the last one and its different perspective. I’d never thought of shooting that way before.

Thanks! Yeah, I couldn’t get over the difference from the 4 to the 5s. I’m assuming you updated to the new ios though, so you have the built in pano now? At least that’s better than using one of the old 360 pano apps–stitches much better.

These are beautiful photos, Seattle! I was going to tell you my favorite one, but as I went down the list, my list of favorites kept growing haha. 😉

I love these panoramas! I’m surprised at how many people were at Maya beach… Doesn’t remind me of the movie at all 🙂
Seattle Dredge says
I know, it’s soo upsetting how much tourism ruined the place. It’s pretty much just a sea of people and you can’t even see the beach 🙁
Jeanne says
Wow that was so awesome!! I’m going to Costa Rica this weekend and will be obsessed with taking panoramas!
Seattle Dredge says
I hope you did it! Costa Rica is the best for panos
Tina says
This is awesome indeed, can I share it? 🙂
