The Bosphorus is a strait that runs directly through the heart of Istanbul, Turkey. Europe lies to the West, and Asia to the East.
There are two bridges that connect the continents, which provide a very special moment as you cross over them. For a split second, you will be within two continents at the same time. There are not very many places in the world where this is possible.
The Bosphorus is a staple to life in Istanbul, and can be seen from most points in the city. It provides many great attractions and activities, and supports a busy international shipping route. To describe Istanbul in one sentence, could not be done without mentioning The Bosphorus Strait.
