In February of 2018, we spent two weeks travelling across Nicaragua.
From Managua to San Juan Del Sur, to the Isletas of Lake Nicaragua, and finally over to Little Corn Island, we saw all of the different regions that Nicaragua has to offer. From drinks on the beach and shopping in SJDS to road trips boat trips, and small flights, we met monkeys and lizards and visited small villages and passed through big cities, for the ultimate Nicaraguan adventure.
Watch for your fill of treehouses, Toñas, tacos, tattoos, volcanoes, cute Island pups, sunsets, drinks, hammocks, wildlife, and surfers.
Make sure you view it in full screen, and hit 1080p in the settings.
Special Thanks to:
Mango Rosa //Scenes from Mango Rosa include day trips to San Juan Del Sur town and Maderas Beach, via the Mango Rosa Shuttle, as well as mixing up drinks at the Resort Bar, with all of the regulars. Oh, and you can’t forget the infamous Hammock Rancho.
TreeCasa // All of the scenes from TreeCasa are exactly what you imagine a treehouse village to be, which is magical and filled with nature. From morning coffee in the trees and swinging hammock chairs on the balcony, to the ocean-view sunsets (those scenic silhouette shots) from the hill and delicious smoothies. We also took their shuttle into town to explore.
Jicaro Island Lodge // It was hard to edit out shots from Jicaro, as there was just too many amazing views and experiences on that beautiful little Island. From the green over-water hammock on the porch and bird visitors each morning with coffee, to sunset views from the lookout tower and those insanely picturesque SUP shots at sunset, plus so much more.
Isleta El Espino // Isleta had a real laidback vibe with a trendy decor, and that incredibly authentic looking treehouse that I wanted to move in to forever. Not to mention those crazy volcano views right from the bed, with a hammock to boot, as well as the views from the Yoga Deck.
Yemaya Island Hideaway and Spa // It seems like most of the scenes in the video are from Yemaya, or at least most of the hammock scenes. Yemaya was basically the epitome of paradise, and there were no bad views from anywhere on the property, including all those white sand shots, swaying palms, pupper friends, trips across the Island into town, killer sunsets, and of course Miss Yemaya herself.
Things have been a little crazy since getting home, but I’ll be making full blog posts about each place soon.
