While I really enjoyed my time in Key West, I probably had the best time at the Sunset Celebration.
The Sunset Celebration is a nightly arts festival at Mallory Square Dock made up of arts and crafts exhibitors, street performers, fire dancers, food carts, psychics and of course crowds of on-lookers enjoying the show.
My two favourite performers were the woman (Miranda Knox) with flaming hoops and the man (Juggling Jace) juggling fire, a hammer and a machete on a seven foot high unicycle. With the incredible cotton candy Key West sunset as a backdrop, I could have watched them perform forever. Luckily, a giant storm cloud swooped in and got me to finally leave the square.
Don’t forget to check out my previous post, Key West in 50 Photos.
Here are my favourite shots from the Sunset Celebration:
This trip was made possible by Key West & The Florida Keys.
All views and opinions are my own.
Have you ever attended a sunset festival?

Great shots! I love the ones with silhouettes of people with the fire and with beautiful sunset sky as a background. Great job!

I can totally see why this was you’re favourite part of the trip to Florida. Those sunsets are just divine. I could spend hours sitting watching street performers, mostly because I think they are so brave, not only for what they do but for having to guts to get up in front of a crowd of people doing it.

It wasn’t quite my favourite part of the entire trip, just my favourite part of Key west (my overall fave was kayaking in Big Pine). But, it was definitely awesome, and agreed, those guys are so brave. I certainly wouldn’t be able to do it!
